'Lausitz Cup 2010'

Persbericht: Lausitz Cup

At the begining, we would like to wish all the best to all rally fans, organisers and competitors in the New Year 2010. We hope the New Year will bring positive changes and development possibilities. We also wish you fixed budgets for the rally season 2010.

It is the third time we are glad to invite you to the special stages in Czech Republic, Germany and Poland which run within Lausitz Cup 2010. Every year the number of participants is on the increase, we have more media partners, spectators grow in numbers. We all create a magnificient rally atmosphere all around interesting and technical special stages.

This year's edition of the Cup will take place within the following rallies:
1st Round – 30 April- 01 May 2010 Thermica Rally Lužické hory – Hradek on Nisa – Czech Republic;
2nd Round 28-29 August 2010 Karkonoski Rally – Jelenia Góra – Poland;
3rd Round 15-16 October 2010 Lausitz-Rally – Boxberg – Germany.

We have introduced a few changes in regulations of the Cup. We want to make the competition more attractive and encourage more drivers to take part in our rally series. One of the changes is decrease in the number of rallies required to score in the Cup. In 2009 drivers were obliged to take part in three rallies in order to be classified in the Cup. This year drivers have to take part only in two rounds to be classified and receive prizes. Another news is that Lausitz Cup will count for international Trabant Cup. We also hope for acceptance of our invitation to take part in Karkonoski Rally by Euro Rally Challenge team. Our aim for the third season of the Cup is to win support of a titular sponsor and a support of a media partner. The new promoteurs of Lausitz Cup became WRC rally magazin form Poland and a Croatian automotive portal. A complete list of partners is available at www.lausitzcup.pl – kontakt patryk.korbel@speedzone.pl. We also hold talks to energetic group which could carry out coverages from each round of the Cup – alike those from IRC series. Owing to a slightly larger entry fee each crew could receive their recors + rally coverage.

We also hope for proposals and suggestions of the competitiors who plan to take part in the Cup. We are also awaiting the offers to create new divisions, manufacturer's classes etc. within Lausitz Cup. We aim to organise rallies in which everyone, regardless of the horsepower and of the car and division, will take part with enthusiasm. We want to bulid the future of the rallies with sports atmosphere and international competition, which is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in foreign rallies.

● Entrance fee to a round is EUR 300;
● OPEN class division:

GROUP 1 up to 1000 ccm
GROUP 2 from 1001 – 1400 ccm
GROUP 3 from 1401 – 1600 ccm
GROUP 4 from 1601 – 2000 ccm
GROUP 5 over 2001 ccm

Although it is an OPEN class division, we often could see less powerful cars before the theoretically much faster vehicles in the results ;

● Entrance fee will be partly returned in the amount of EUR 50 of each round, which is EUR 150 in total, on the condition that a driver will take part in 3 rounds;

● one of the stages of Czech Thermica Rally Lužické hory will run entirely in Germany, close to Zittau, and another one will be located in Poland. It will be a spectacular stage, located near Bogatynia, which is known from the previous year. The technical stage with fast parts is located in a picturesque neighbourhood.

At the end of the Cup, the teams will receive pecuniary prizes, which also reduces the cost of participation:

General classification: 1st to 5th place
1. place: 500,- EUR + 2 cups
2. place: 400,- EUR + 2 cups
3. place: 300,- EUR + 2 cups
4. place: 200,- EUR + 2 cups
5. place: 100,- EUR + 2 cups

Class classification: 1st to 3rd place

1st place: 300,- EUR + 2 cups
2nd place: 200,- EUR + 2 cups
3rd place: 100,- EUR + 2 cups
